Sometimes I do Birthday parties too! And school dances, Christmas parties, well, you get the point. I focus a lot on the weddings I do on this site, but I am your Calgary DJ for all occasions!
Here’s a couple pictures of my setup for Roland’s 50th Birthday party that I DJed on August 14th. I didn’t manage to get any video or dancing pictures because since we were outside it was too dark for my camera to capture anything! But I did record some of my set, and will hopefully get a chance to post some of that later on this week.
On July 3rd I got the special treat of DJing at the Sheraton Eau Claire for Robert & Jiao’s wedding. I say it was a special treat because by the time the dancing portion of the evening rolled around I truly felt like I was DJing for and celebrating with old friends. The group that Robert & Jiao had at their wedding was completely awesome, and I had such a great time as their DJ.

This past weekend on June 26th, I got to DJ for Heather & Bob’s wedding at the Edgemont Community Association Hall here in Calgary. The weather was hot, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day for a wedding. I had a fantastic time DJing for Heather & Bob’s friends and family, and I think it turned out to be a fantastic party. I also got to work with Wei from www.photobolic.com who had a fantastic photobooth setup for everyone to make use of over the night.
Heather and Bob left me this note:
"Thank you for helping to make our wedding special. We appreciate your time & efforts & will be sure to recommend your services to others in the future."
Back on June 5th I had the extreme pleasure of DJing Teri & Donald’s wedding at Lake Sundance Lodge. We had a great time and the dance floor was packed right up until the last song.

Update July 5, 2010: I got an email from Teri & Donald yesterday:
Donald and I were extremely happy with the service you provided. You were very helpful at the rehearsal, and went above and beyond at the wedding….especially during the awkward 10 minute lull when the marriage commissioner had to run out to her car and get a reading she forgot!!! You played all of our requests (including the Dan Band), and we could not have been any happier with the set-up, service, music and professional attitude. Thank you so much for everything you did. You helped make a beautiful day absolutely perfect!
On April 24th I had the extreme pleasure of heading out of Calgary to Silvertip Golf Course in Canmore Alberta to DJ Mark & Richelle’s wedding. It was my first wedding of 2010 and all I can say is what a blast! Even though Mother Nature wasn’t co-operating – it snowed like crazy! – everyone had a terrific time!

Update July 5, 2010: I got the following email from Mark & Richelle that I thought I would share with you here-
Our MC’s were extremely happy with Jason before and during the reception. He made sure they sounded good before the guests arrived and during the reception he adjusted the volume to the music as necessary based solely on eye contact with the MC’s. They thought he was fantastic to work with!
Jason’s approach with us was very much appreciated before the first dance. He made sure that the music was played when we wanted it played and did it in a professional and subtle yet effective way. The first dances went really smoothly and everybody knew who was supposed to be on the dance floor.
A huge part of a great party is the music, and if the guests are still dancing and ready to party at the end of the night, that means it was a great party. It seemed like half of our guests were still dancing and partying by the time the last song played and several friends wanted Jason to continue playing. This is a huge compliment to the DJ in my opinion! Jason’s professionalism, song choices, and interaction with the guests needs to be commended. Thank-you very much for making our wedding party, Jason!’
